About the event

Putting a fun, creative spin on a fundraiser, our variety showcase will be filled with laughs, talent, LGBTQ+ pride, and raising important awareness on mental health. The whole evening will be hosted by Hopeful Hive's founder, Alisha Hope, with special performances from the amazing drag artist, Kristal Kweer. Performances will start from around 7pm, and you are welcome to arrive at any point from 6pm onwards, when a free buffet will be offered in the Snug. This will include vegan and gluten-free options to provide for a range of diets. Our raffle will include limited edition self-care packages, some artwork by artist Lucie Rose (she/her) (@lucierosecreations on Instagram), and, most importantly, booze! All money raised from tickets, the raffle, and donations will go directly towards our mental health packages.

At the first event of its kind, we are throwing together this show with one goal in mind: to make our mental health resources even more accesible. Since its grand opening in July 2022, Hopeful Hive has been fully self-funded by its owner. The idea of the business has never been profit-focused, and so prices have been kept as low as possible. However, now we are growing and shipping out even more internationally, we want to be able to offer free postage to everyone who orders. This will enable us to help even more people, and the funds we raise from this event will set us on the path towards being professionally funded and recognised as a non-profit, community organisation.

Our performers include:

- Sam Mortan as Kristal Kweer (she/her for our Queen!)

- Alisha Hope (they/them)

- Lee Armsden (he/him)

- Ginny Allende (she/her)

- Stephen Pilling (he/him)

- RJ Hope (he/him), Mini Cooper (she/they/he), Elle Lightowler (she/her)

- Daniel Martin (he/him)

- Lee Kahlo (she/her)

- Jack Royle-Walter (they/she)

- James Parker (he/him)

We hope to see you there!
